FOOTBALL - Knowle remain in cup action this weekend

KNOWLE remain tied up in cup action this weekend as they host Sutton Rangers in the first round of the Les James Challenge Cup.

The Robins thrashed PS Olympic 11-2 in the Saturday Vase last time out and will hope to advance in a different competition this weekend.

Sutton are third from bottom in the Midland Football League Division Three with just five points from seven matches.

Their opponents also won in the Saturday Vase last weekend as they beat Birmingham University Medics 3-0.

Knowle will be without Jack Mullen, who was forced off with injury at The Dell, whilst Craig Johnson is doubtful.

Joint Robins boss Matthew Seeley said: “We are on a bit of a roll at the moment. We want to keep that going. We are looking forward to the game.”

The Club House will be open all afternoon for drinks and light snacks.

Entrance is £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Knowle’s clash with Sutton takes place on Saturday, October 22 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
