KNOWLE recorded a third successive clean sheet in a 2-0 home victory against Birmingham OJM.

Goals from Talib Copeland and Ricardo Dudley sealed a second successive home win for the Robins at the Draintech Community Ground.

The result means Knowle sit fourth in the Midland Football League Division One table.

And Knowle’s joint manager, Matt Seeley, praised his side’s attacking intent after scoring two early goals.

Seeley said: “I thought we were excellent. Two early goals really put us in control.

“But I was delighted that we kept playing and striving for more.

“I was delighted to see Cardo get his goal as it topped off a great performance at the heart of a defence that chalked up its third clean sheet in a row.

“George Seeley ran the game from midfield – a real captain’s performance – and he was the driving force behind a well-earned win.”

The Robins made the perfect start when Copeland blasted a shot past the OJM goalkeeper at his near post from 15-yards out after just two minutes.

And the home side doubled their lead on 25 minutes as Dudley headed in a corner from the left.

Knowle are next in action against Lutterworth Athletic on Saturday, August 16 with kick-off at 3pm at Hall Lane.
