LEAGUE leaders Knowle recorded an eighth successive clean sheet in a 3-0 victory away at Fairfield Villa.

Goals from Tom Craine, George Seeley and substitute Brandon Hague sealed the points for the Robins before the break at Stourbridge Road.

The result leaves Knowle three points clear at the top of the Midland Football League Division Two table.

Knowle’s joint boss Clive Seeley said: “Our goal difference is absolutely fantastic, we’re at the halfway stage of the season now and we’ve conceded three goals.

“Defensively and off the ball we’re very good.

“The pitch was a bit of a leveller which doesn’t suit the way we try to play, I don’t think it helps them either to be honest.

“Fairfield are a bit of a bogey side for me, the lads are a bit disappointed with the performance, it’s a good result.

“All we’ve got to do is stay humble and keep ticking the games off.”

The Robins made the perfect start when Craine found the net with less than 90 seconds on the clock.

And Seeley doubled Knowle’s lead after excellent work out wide by Hayden Purves.

The visitors wrapped up the points courtesy of Hague’s goal in first-half injury time.

Knowle are next in action against Lane Head on Saturday, November 16 with kick-off at 3pm at Somerfield Road.
