FOOTBALL - Knowle ready for Central Ajax test this weekend

KNOWLE travel to Central Ajax this weekend with the Robins looking to secure back-to-back league wins for the first time since the turn of the year.

The Robins are one point clear at the top of the Midland Football League Division Two table following a 3-1 win against Lane Head last time out.

Knowle triumphed 4-0 in the reverse fixture back in September with the two teams also due to meet in the semi-finals of the Les James Challenge Cup next month.

Ajax sit 10th in the table having played only 16 league matches so far this season and last won a league game at the end of January – playing only two MFL Division Two fixtures since that victory.

Robins joint manager Clive Seeley said: “Ajax are a good footballing side, and not to be underestimated. We expect to have George Seeley and Bobbie Biddle back.”

Knowle’s clash with Ajax takes place on Saturday, March 23 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
