KNOWLE moved top of the table with a 3-0 win against AFC North Kilworth in the club’s first game since Boxing Day.

A brace from George Seeley, either side of Elliot Edwards’ goal, earned the Robins an 18th straight victory at the Draintech Community Ground.

The result lifts Knowle to the top of the Midland Football League Division One table, one point clear of Sutton United with four games in hand.

Knowle broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when Seeley drilled a shot into the bottom right corner after a cute flick released him into the penalty area.

And the home side doubled their lead three minutes before half time as Edwards finished on the turn from close range following a scramble in the box.

The Robins sealed the points two minutes from time when Seeley controlled a cross from the right and finished past the North Kilworth goalkeeper at his near post.

Knowle are next in action against title rivals Sutton on Saturday, January 17 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
