JESS Holland scored twice as Knowle Ladies booked their place in the League Cup final with an impressive 3-0 win against Walsall Women.
Holland started and completed scoring either side of a Demi Rolph strike whilst the latter also saw a late penalty saved at Hampton Road.
And Knowle will play divisional rivals Coventry Sphinx in the final on Sunday, May 21.
Knowle were led out by the club’s under-10’s team and made a quick start as Walsall goalkeeper Liv Wells was forced into several early saves.
And this included a superb fingertip stop to push Bex Clarke’s effort onto the bar as Kate Fleming, Rolph and Nadia Bacciochi all shot wide from promising positions.
Walsall had arguably the best chance of the first half when the ball fell to Saanya Najib who could only blaze over the bar when well-placed.
Both teams were wasteful in front of goal in the first half before Holland broke the deadlock in the second period with a powerful angled strike from Fleming’s pass.
And the Robins doubled their lead just three minutes later when Rolph burst through and produced a fine finish before Natalie Gibson’s thunderbolt was saved.
Knowle were solid at the other end as Sam Smith timed a challenge to perfection to dispossess Maicie Golding as the Walsall player was about to pull the trigger.
The home side sealed their place in the final with a stunner as Gibson chipped a delightful ball into the area which was controlled by Holland who spun and volleyed the ball superbly into the corner.
And Knowle could have added a fourth goal late on when Wells felled Rolph in the penalty area only for the Walsall keeper to save the latter’s penalty.
