FOOTBALL - Knowle hope to return to winning ways against Redditch Borough this weekend

KNOWLE FC host lowly Redditch Borough this weekend as they look to revive their promotion challenge at the Draintech Community Ground.

The Robins suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat away at Kenilworth Sporting last weekend, despite heading into the break with a one-goal lead.

And that means Knowle are now four points behind Coton Green in third place in the Midland Football League Division Two table with a game in hand.

Their opponents Redditch are down in 11th place just four points off the bottom although they do have several games in hand on the teams around them.

Borough head into the clash off the back of a 5-0 home win against Coventry Alvis which snapped a run of four consecutive defeats.

And Redditch have won just twice on the road all season with their most recent away success coming at Earlswood Town back in November.

Robins manager Clive Seeley said: “Another difficult game. There are no easy matches in Division Two now. The good news for us is that Ryan Andrews is back in training this week.”

Entrance is £3 for Adults and £2 for Concessions.

Knowle’s clash with Redditch takes place on Saturday, March 5 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
