FOOTBALL - Knowle hit Littleton for six to remain top

Solihull Editorial 3rd Oct, 2023   0

KNOWLE secured a huge 6-0 away win at bottom of the table Littleton to remain top of the league with a sixth successive victory.

The Robins dominated throughout at Littleton’s Five Acres ground as Tom Craine and Jack Mullen both netted a brace with Lewis Clarke and Toby Scott also on target.

And the result means Knowle remain top of the Midland Football League Division Two table, one point clear of Alcester Town.

Knowle opened the scoring on 17 minutes when Craine rounded the goalkeeper and beat a defender before tapping home.

And Mullen extended Knowle’s lead 10 minutes later before Craine doubled his tally for the game before the break after pouncing on a mix-up at the back.

The Robins added their fourth goal just past the hour mark as Clarke produced a sublime effort at the back post before Mullen scored his second of the game from Nathan Corry’s perfect cross.

And Scott completed the scoring in style one minute from time with a powerful effort from distance.

Knowle are next in action at home to Feckenham on Saturday, October 7 in the Les James Challenge Cup with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
