ODANE Barnes scored a hat-trick as Knowle overturned a half time deficit to beat Inkberrow 5-1 and maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
After trailing at the break, Barnes netted a hat-trick while substitute Tom Craine scored a brace to seal an emphatic victory at the Draintech Stadium.
The result means Knowle sit second in the Midland Football League Division Two table, two points behind leaders Northfield Town.
Knowle’s joint-manager, Clive Seeley, said: “We made heavy going of it, we played reasonably well in the first half but couldn’t put the ball in the net and the one thing I didn’t want to happen happened and that was giving them a goal and something to hang on to.
“I said at half time to remain patient and be more clinical and we were. They gave us a scare but full credit to the players they kept going.”
The Robins spurned a number of chances in the first half and Inkberrow made Knowle pay as Joel Hill turned home a cross from the right moments before the break.
However, Knowle equalised on 52 minutes when Barnes finished well from inside the penalty area.
And the Robins completed the turnaround on 74 minutes as substitute Craine collected Jack Turnell’s clearance 30-yards from goal and eventually found the net.
A glancing header from Barnes extended Knowle’s lead before completing his hat-trick after latching onto a long ball.
And Craine completed the scoring with his second of the game after combing well with fellow substitute Zac Parsons.
Knowle are next in action against Cadbury Athletic on Saturday, August 24 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Stadium.
