FOOTBALL - Knowle and Earlswood Town to lock horns in Solihull derby this weekend

KNOWLE hope to remain top of the Midland Football League Division Two table this weekend ahead of a Solihull derby against Earlswood Town.

The Robins are unbeaten in their last seven league matches and thrashed Central Ajax 4-0 in their last outing to lead the MFL Division Two standings by a single point.

And Knowle are yet to lose on their travels this season following impressive victories at Inkberrow and Lane Head.

Opponents Earlswood have enjoyed a strong start to the campaign and sit fifth in the table just two points behind leaders Knowle.

However, the Earls were pegged back late on to draw 2-2 with Coventry Alvis last weekend after losing for the first time this season against Solihull rivals Hampton in their most recent home fixture.

Earlswood host Knowle on Saturday, September 23 with kick-off at 3pm at The Pavilions.
