EARLSWOOD Town saw their six-game unbeaten come to an end following a 3-2 defeat away at Birmingham United.
A brace from Louis Bridges twice kept the Earls in the contest with the visitors unable to find a late leveller at Castle Vale.
The result means Earlswood sit sixth in the Midland Football League Division Two table.
Playing in a league fixture for the first time in nine weeks, the Earls fell behind after just three minutes as Khalil Harrison put the home side ahead.
However, Bridges drew Earlswood level on 22 minutes who finished through a crowded six-yard box from debutant Moussa Kiota’s header at a corner.
Quickfire goals from James Riston and Anthony Smith after the break took the game away from the Earls.
The Earls responded when Bridges grabbed his second of the game with a header from Ellis Vaux’s pinpoint free-kick.
Earlswood are next in action against FC Darlaston in the Saturday Vase on Saturday, January 3 with kick-off at 2pm at The Pavilions.
