FREE-SCORING Earlswood Town maintained their unbeaten start to the season with an emphatic 4-1 win away at Littleton.

Player-manager Joel Hughes, Zach Taylor, Tom Kinsey and Jensen Gaye were all on target at Five Acres.

The Earls have now scored scored 15 goals in just four league games and sit second in the Midland Football League Division Two table, two points behind leaders AFC Coventry Rangers.

And after a dominant start, Earlswood took the lead on 15 minutes when Hughes turned the ball home after Archie Spittle-McGuire saw his shot parried into the scorer’s path.

The visitors doubled their lead on 40 minutes as Taylor scored his first goal for the Earls following good work from Spittle-McGuire down the right.

And just past the hour mark, Earlswood extended their lead as substitute Connor Doyle beat his man and squared the ball to Kinsey who tapped home.

Littleton reduced the deficit in the final 10 minutes when Alfie Leeson finished brilliantly on the volley at the back post.

However, the Earls completed the scoring just two minutes later as substitute Gaye drilled a low shot in at the near post after bursting down the right wing.

Earlswood are next in action at home to DSC United on Saturday, August 26 in the Les James Challenge Cup with kick-off at 3pm at The Pavilions.

The Earls then host Central Ajax on Monday, August 28 with kick-off at 3pm at The Pavilions.
