TOM Kinsey’s brace helped Earlswood Town earn a first league win since September with a 4-1 victory away at Lane Head.

Kinsey struck twice in the second half to seal the points after Dan Elwell and Louis Bridges scored in the first half at Stowe Street.

And the result means Earlswood sit eighth in the Midland Football League Division Two table.

The Earls broke the deadlock on 15 minutes when Elwell fired home Bridges’ corner from the right on the volley at the near post.

And Bridges doubled the away side’s lead from the penalty spot on 24 minutes after Elwell drew a foul in the box.

The visitors all but sealed the points just past the hour mark when Kinsey headed home substitute Matt Green’s corner from the left at the far post.

And the Earls made it four with six minutes left to play as Kinsey doubled his tally for the game with a low drive from 18-yards out from Elwell’s clever flick.

Lane Head scored a consolation goal with virtually the last kick of the game as the Earls claimed a much-needed victory to reignite their league campaign.

Earlswood are next in action at home to Cadbury Athletic on Saturday, January 27 with kick-off at 2pm at the Pavilions.
