EARLSWOOD Town booked their place in the semi-finals of the Les James Challenge Cup with a 3-1 win at Boldmere Sports and Social Falcons.

A brace from Abdoullah Kchikech and Jordan McKenzie’s fifth goal in his last four games wrapped up a hard-fought victory at Boldmere Road.

The Earls, who have lost twice all season, are now one win away from reaching the final, traditionally held at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium.

Earlswood took the lead against the run of play on 17 minutes when Sarjo Sila broke through down the left to tee up Kchikech from inside the area.

And Kchikech doubled his tally 10 minutes later as he deflected an attempted clearance into the net after tireless work from McKenzie.

McKenzie grabbed a goal for himself  on 39 minutes when he forced his way into the box and smashed a shot into the net from a tight angle.

Boldmere reduced the deficit after the break when Lamin Barron scored from the penalty spot after Anton Alexander handled the ball in the box.

Earlswood are next in action against Coundon Court in the Coventry Charity Cup on Saturday, November 8 with kick-off at 2pm at The Pavilions.
