EARLSWOOD Town reached the last 16 of the Birmingham County FA Saturday Vase with a hard-fought 1-0 win at FC Darlaston.
The game’s only goal came courtesy of Joe Kelso on 68 minutes at the ELR Homecare Stadium.
Darlaston, who play in the West Midlands Regional Premier Division, had a player sent off 10 minutes after the break.
The match took place at the fifth attempt owing to the miserable winter weather
And the Earls will play either Coventry Dunlop or Wake Green Amateurs in the fourth round on Saturday, February 7.
The win ensures Tom Reynolds’ side continue to fight on all four fronts including as semi-finalists in the Les James Challenge Cup and quarter-finalists in the Coventry Charity Cup.
