EARLSWOOD Town’s fine start to the season continued with a comfortable 4-1 home win against Coventrians in a third straight victory.
Both Ollie Parsons and Harry Dixon scored braces to take their respective tallies to four for the season.
The win also temporarily took Tom Reynolds’ side joint top of Midland Football League Division Two table.
It took just 10 minutes for the hosts to take the lead with Dixon pulling back from the right to allow Parsons to fire home from eight yards out.
However, the visitors hit back within four minutes as Liam Connelly’s free-kick from distance some how found its way past Scott Cashmore.
Earlswood’s Ellis Vaux then struck the upright with a thunderous effort from distance before Dixon scored on the stroke of half-time.
Barely 30 seconds after the restart, Parsons headed home Abdoulah Kchikech’s cross from the right at the far post.
And Dixon put a final nail in the Coventrians coffin when he ghosted through to nonchalantly loft the ball into the net from close range for his 21st goal in 19 Earls appearances.
Earlswood are next in action against Coventry Dunlop on Saturday, August 16 with kick-off at 3pm at The Pavilions.
