LOUIS Bridges scored a second-half equaliser to earn a point for Earlswood Town in a 1-1 draw against Lane Head.

Bridges drew the home side level on 66 minutes after Asher Ansah put the visitors ahead early on at The Pavilions.

The result means the Earls sit 12th in the Midland Football League Division Two table.

Andy Matthews returned to make his 39th appearance for the club while the Earls also handed a debut to Keelan Reilly.

However, the Earls made the worst possible start as Ansah finished past Alfie Pyott from close range after David Maison inadvertently played Lane Head onside.

The home side looked to respond after the break as Jake Potter went close with an effort from distance.

However, the Earls equalised when Bridges grabbed his first goal of the season with a smart finish from just inside the penalty area.

Lane Head played the remainder of the game with 10-men owing to an injury and a lack of substitutes with the Earls unable to find a winner.

Earlswood are next in action against local rivals Hampton in the Les James Challenge Cup on Saturday, September 7 with kick-off at 3pm at The Pavilions.
