ODANE Barnes scored the only goal as league leaders Knowle secured a narrow 1-0 victory away at bottom club Lane Head.
Barnes put the Robins ahead in the first half before Tom Craine had a penalty saved and the visitors hit the woodwork on a number of occasions at Somerfield Road.
And the result means Knowle remain top of the Midland Football League Division Two table, six points clear of closest challengers Northfield Town who have a game in-hand.
The Robins went close to an opener after just six minutes as Brandon Hague and Craine both hit the crossbar in quick succession after Lane Head failed to clear their lines at a corner.
And the ball then struck the post before the Lane Head goalkeeper eventually dived on the ball to bring an end to the goalmouth scramble.
Knowle felt they should have had a penalty when Toby Scott went down under a challenge in the box before another tackle on Barnes also went unpunished.
The chances continued to flow as Craine struck the crossbar for a second time while Barnes hit the post soon after.
However, the Robins eventually broke the deadlock when Barnes powered past his marker before smashing a shot into the net.
And Knowle then won a penalty after Hague drew a foul in the box only for the Lane Head goalkeeper to deny Craine from the spot.
Craine attempted to make amends for his penalty miss as the Lane Head goalkeeper denied him on a number of occasions after the break.
Despite Lane Head producing an improved display in the second half, the Robins held firm while Hague hit the post late on as the visitors recorded a ninth successive clean sheet.
Knowle are next in action against Bolehall Swifts on Saturday, November 23 with kick-off at 2pm at the Draintech Community Stadium.
