BOXING - Solihull-based physiotherapist overseeing preparations for Dillian Whyte's title fight this weekend

SOLIHULL based physiotherapist Simon Evans is Performance Director for heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte and overseeing preparations for a huge world title fight this weekend against current WBC world champion Tyson Fury.

Evans continues to thrive at the top of his field having worked with Whyte for over six years and 13 successive fights to date.

During that time, Evans has helped the ‘The Body Snatcher’ on his way to 12 wins, which includes avenging his defeat to Alexander Povetkin in March 2021 which has set up a world title bout with current heavyweight world champion Fury this weekend – and is set to become one of the biggest UK fights of all time.

Evans grew up and has a clinic based in Solihull whilst having a tight relationship with Whyte who stated in a testimonial: “Simon is one of the top physiotherapists around and helped me sort my shoulder problems out.




“He’s got my shoulder back to where it used to be. I look forward to working with Simon for the rest of my career.”

The Solihull man has also worked with elite national level athletes within various sports including rugby, boxing, athletics, cricket, triathlon, tennis and swimming circuit.
