EMELIA Hughes, from Meriden, won silver competing at the European Youth Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Hughes, who only started her archery journey back in 2017 with a beginners course at Meriden Archery Club, is now an established athlete on Archery GB’s pathway academy.
And the young archer has already won several national indoor and outdoor titles and has represented Great Britain on four occasions at under-18 level.
Hughes took silver at the European Youth Cup in Bulgaria representing GB’s under-21’s team shooting at a longer distance of 70m.
And Hughes impressed to finish second in the standings, narrowly missing out on gold, with the Meriden archer to compete in Slovenia next month before heading to the European Youth Championships in Romania in July.
Hughes started an engineering apprenticeship with Yamazaki Mazak last year who continue to support her archery venture.
