A TEENAGER has been charged following an alleged carjacking in Hall Green last month.

The 17-year-old boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, has been charged with wounding with intent and robbery.

A 66-year-old pedestrian suffered life-changing injuries after being reportedly hit by a Mercedes in Boden Road shortly after 5.30pm on September 11.

She remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

West Midlands Police says the owner of the car was assaulted as the car was stolen.

The teenager is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (Wednesday).
