SOLIHULL smokers can get help to quit this Stoptober from a new app.

The Quit with Bella app has been commissioned by Solihull Council to give residents support 24 hours a day seven days a week to quit smoking.

Residents or those registered with a GP in Solihull can access the Solihull Lifestyle Service for face-face or telephone support and medication to help break the habit.

Keshav Sankla, director of AI and innovations, Solutions4Health said: ‘’Quitting smoking can be tough, but it’s one of the best things you can do. It’s fantastic that everyone in Solihull now has free access to Quit with Bella and can get evidence-based support whenever they like.

“Thousands of people have used Quit with Bella to stop smoking. It’s also worked well alongside physical stop smoking services and will complement the great Solihull Lifestyle Service.’’

Jemma Abbott, service lead, Solihull Lifestyle Service said: “Stopping smoking is one of the best things you will ever do for your health.

“We are delighted that Quit with Bella will be made available to the population of Solihull. It is free, 24/7, on-demand, and easy to get going.

“The App works alongside our face-to-face offer that supports smokers in giving up.”

In England 2.5million people have made a quit attempt as part of the Stoptober campaign since it launched in 2012.

The Quit with Bella app can be downloaded from Google Play or the Apple Store.
