A POLICE officer will appear in front of a misconduct panel today (Thursday) charged with gross midconduct.

PC Michelle Felton, who is based in the Coventry and Solihull areas, allegedly stole fuel while off duty.

The panel, chaired by legally qualified Chair Andrea Pitt, will hear how PC Felton purportedly dispensed two amounts of fuel into her vehicle, but denied this to staff at the Shell Garage and only paid for one amount.

The hearing, to be held in Birmingham, is currently scheduled to last for two days.
