HCB Solicitors Limited donate £10,000 to spread Christmas cheer to those in hospital this festive period

UNIVERSITY Hospitals Birmingham Charity are partnering with HCB Solicitors Limited (HCB) to boost the hospitals Christmas 2022 Appeal.

The donation of £10,000 will bring a much needed funds to help vulnerable children and adults who are patients in the four hospitals in University Hospitals Trust, this festive season.

The donation has funded nine Christmas trees including two ‘toy trees’ within the children’s wards at Heartlands Hospital and Good Hope Hospital.

Three further trees will be located in adult wards at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital – including the Critical Care department which is the largest single floor Critical Care department in Europe.




The remaining will be spread across Good Hope Hospital elderly care wards, and Solihull Hospital.

Anne Jenkin-Smith, Director and Head of the Private Client Department said: “HCB are very proud to be supporting the amazing work of UHB Charity. Our solicitors and staff in the Private Client department are very familiar with the work of the charity and its incredible impact on patients’ well-being.


“At HCB we are all delighted to make this donation and hope the trees will be enjoyed by patients, families and hardworking NHS staff this festive period, especially on Christmas Day.”

Charlotte Schofield, Director of Fundraising, UHB Charity said: “We welcome the donation from HCB which will bring joy to a large number of patients and their families, who are in hospital in the run up to, and over Christmas.

“We rely entirely on the generous support of individuals and organisations like HCB to help us provide extra equipment, research and facilities that make a huge difference to the experience of patients in our hospitals.”

Daniel Da Silva, Managing Director, HCB said: “We have many clients who are patients of these local hospitals, and we know that it can be an especially difficult time for many over the Christmas period who find themselves needing care and treatment. We hope that this donation makes a positive difference and brings a little happiness.”
