A HALL Green building site manager has won a national award.
Ian Green, who is currently overseeing the David Wilson Homes’ build at Tenchlee Place in Hall Green, was handed a Pride award in the Job Quality Awards from the National House Building Council (NHBC).
The awards are considered as the ‘Oscars’ of the housebuilding industry and recognise the top five per cent of site managers across the country, with around 8,200 sites being entered into the awards annually, and only 450 winners. Each is judged on a strict criteria including technical expertise, health and safety, leadership and attention to detail.
This latest award is Ian’s 17th Pride in the Job award, which goes alongside his 10 Seal of Excellence awards.
Originally from Loughborough in Leicestershire, Ian has worked for David Wilson Homes for 15 years.
Ian said: “It’s always a great feeling to be recognised with an award, and the win for Tenchlee Place, which is quickly becoming a well-established community, makes it a very special achievement.
“It’s a busy and demanding job, but the award is a testament to everyone’s excellent work, even with the high volume of completions undertaken in recent months. We’re proud to work on an award-winning development, and it’s something we’ll celebrate as a team.”
