Get jewellery valued at Solihull care home

Solihull Editorial 19th Feb, 2023   0

A BARGAIN Hunt and Dickinson’s Real Deal regular is set to host weekly jewellery valuations in Solihull.

Richard Winterton will be setting up shop at Blossomfield Rose care home for residents to have their treasure pieces valued for free.

He, alongside valuer Louise Ludlam-Snook, will be on hand at the Blossomfield Road care home from 9.30am until 12.30pm every Thursday.

Visitors can get an estimate on all types of jewellery including vintage, organic and modern jewellery, gemstones including diamonds, sapphires and rubies, and precious metals.

Once the pieces have been examined, Louise will provide a valuation estimate that can be used either for insurance purposes, to determine its history and authenticity or for general interest and the sale of the items.

Sue from Soilhull, who was one of the first customers to have her jewellery valued at Blossomfield Rose, said: “I was really surprised when I brought two rings and some broaches with me as one of the rings was from war-time, estimated to be early 1917, which I didn’t realise had that much history.

“The broaches were 20th century costume jewellery and the overall value came to around £300.

“They will all go to the next auction.”

Refreshments from the home’s Coach House Cafe will also be on offer.
