Entrepreneur sets sights on helping motorists when it comes to MOTs

A SOLIHULL entrepeneur is hoping to end drivers’ motoring woes.

Kamran Saleem, who grew up in Solihull has introduced a no-strings £15 MOT only fee in a bid to combat the ‘unnecessary profiteering and upselling’ by garages.

The 35-year-old, who owns MotorServ-UK in Monkspath, has launched other initiatives including a ‘No pass no fee MOT’ and ‘brake pads for life’ after he became fed up with some members of the motor trade’s reputation for charging customers for work that’s either not done or not required.

A life-long Solihull resident, who graduated from Aston University Business School before founding MotorServ-UK in 2014, Saleem said: “Whilst I’m proud to have been born and bred in Solihull, I believe the motor trade as a whole is perceived as doing the public a disservice.

“Our business has been built on transparency, quality and value for money, not to mention massive investment in skilled people, state-of-the-art premises and equipment, so we’re on a mission to drive out the unscrupulous traders who simply view Solihull residents as cash cows.”
