A REWARD of up to £20,000 is being offered by Crimestoppers for information to track down the person who stabbed a man to death in his Hall Green bedroom.

Kevin Lomas was found dead the multiple-occupancy property where he lived on Stratford Road on April 21, 2021.

The 56-year-old had been killed by a stab wound.

The charity is offering a reward of up to £20,000 which leads to the conviction of those linked to his murder.

The reward is available for three months and is due to expire on July 29.

Two people were arrested in connection with Kevin’s murder and have been released on bail.

CCTV footage of Kevin’s last movements has been issued by the police which was captured days before he was found dead.

Alan Edwards, West Midlands regional manager at the charity, said: “We are offering this reward as we hope it will encourage someone with key information to come forward to share what they know.

“Kevin is described by his family as ‘someone who would give you a helping hand’ if it was needed. Our charity would like to help Kevin’s heartbroken family see justice.

“If you prefer not to speak directly to the authorities, you can stay completely anonymous.”

The family of Kevin spoke of their loss: “Considering you were quite shy when you were young, you embodied everything in life that was bright.

“If anyone felt low, Kevin would lift you. If you needed help Kev would give you a helping hand.

“He just wanted everyone to be happy and enjoy life as he wanted to do so himself. Tragically this was taken from him. Our poor brother.”

Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or complete an anonymous online form here.
