Warwick Food Festival this weekend

Solihull Editorial 22nd May, 2015 Updated: 21st Oct, 2016   0

SOME of the fare on offer at Warwick Food Festival is likely to prove an acquired taste – such as Chocolate ‘Chirp’ cookies and Mealworm mocktails.

Market Hall Museum is hosting an Edible Insect event as part of Warwick Food Festival on Sunday (May 24) offering visitors the chance to try their own I’m A Celebrity-style eating challenge.

Wild Creature Features will be cooking up some edible insect dishes between 11.30am and 5pm to tempt visitors to try something different. The drop-in anytime event is free.

For the less adventurous there will be plenty of more standard fare on offer at Warwick’s  first dedicated Food & Drink Festival, which starts at 10am.

The Market Place will host over 45 food and drink specialists along with local chefs who will be showcasing their skills.

There will also be a Live Cookery Theatre running throughout the day as well as a line up of bands and artists performing live from the square from until 7pm.
