A LOVABLE dragon of storybook fame will be welcoming youngsters back to Warwick Castle.
Literary hero Zog, created by Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson and brought to life by Axel Scheffler’s illustrations, is the star of a new 3D interactive trail at the historic venue.
The trail features five fun lessons from Madame Dragon’s school to enthrall children as they try out awesome roars, capture a princess and soar high without their feet ever leaving the ground. Collecting a stamp for each completed task, the final challenge sees children join Sir Gadabout’s school for ambitious knights and to collect their very own golden star. Zog will be there for a meet-and-greet where children can collect golden stars and pose for a souvenir storybook photo.
Castle spokesman Liam Bartlett said: “We’re thrilled that Zog is flying in to Warwick Castle – it’s going to be roar-some! The interactive trail is great for kids of all ages and supports the key messaging from the storybook itself around tenacity, persistence and rising to the challenge. It’s a fantastic addition to the Warwick Castle experience and shows once again why we’re a leading attraction for families from across the UK and beyond.”
