Solihull lifestyle brand celebrates 10 years

Correspondent 21st Nov, 2022   0

THIS month marks 10 years since family owned, independent furniture and lifestyle shop, Liv’s has been in Solihull Town Centre.

The success of independent shops is vital to our high street to keep it alive, create a sense of community and support the local economy.

Here at Liv’s we feel lucky enough to have loyal customers that choose to come back to us year after year, and as a consequence we know many of our customers by name, some who have been with us since we first started the company in 2006.

We pride ourselves on being a treasure trove of beautiful on-trend homeware, unusual finds and timeless pieces for the home at affordable and tempting prices.

Our talented team of in-store creatives create the inspirational displays that you’ll see in store and we change our stock offering regularly, so there is always something new and unique to discover on every visit.

We carefully curate our collections, handpicking items we love but always ensuring there is something for everyone.

But what really sets us apart is the relaxed in-store shopping experience; We strive to ensure that Liv’s is a shop you can lose yourself in.

Carefully chosen music, distinctive fragrance and relaxed atmosphere in store combined with the informal friendly service provided by our team.

Customers often tell us they visit us just to browse, get inspiration, pick up something different and leave feeling refreshed.

We believe in supporting independent businesses and where possible choose to buy from UK based makers and crafts people.

From furniture and rustic mirrors to soy wax melts, we are proud to play a small part in another independent business’ success.

This helps us to be environmentally conscious too, buying locally goes a long way to support this ethos and we do our bit by reusing packaging and making other conscious changes where we can.

As an independent business, all our decision makers work on the shop floor.

This means we can be reactive to trends, sales patterns or economic climate and implement changes right away, I think this is key to us always staying fresh and relevant.

This attitude served us well throughout the pandemic as we adapted our business model overnight, prioritising online sales and delivering orders by hand. Our community couldn’t come to us, so we brought our shop to them!

In recent years the way customers shop has changed. Instagram is now an integral way to communicate with our customers, and our Instagram community has become something we are really proud of.

Apart from being the best way to engage our customer base locally, customers who have admired us online make the trip to visit us from as far away as London, putting us firmly on the map as a destination shop, and increasing our online sales too.

What’s next for Liv’s? 2023 is a big year for Liv’s in more ways than one as we have acquired a manufacturing business which we hope will allow us to grow the business in a new direction over the coming years.
