A LEADING Midlands estate agency has further strengthened its senior team with a new Board-level appointment.

John Shepherd, which has six High Street offices covering the West Midlands, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Staffordshire, has promoted Katie Ridley into the new role of Sales Director.

Katie, who joined the business in 2018, will work in close partnership with John Shepherd CEO, Richard Crathorne, and Operations and Property Management Director, Chris Blick. She will also be a member of the Birmingham regional board of parent company Lomond.

Solihull-educated Katie will play a key role in growing the existing sales business, establishing a broader footprint for John Shepherd in its key heartlands, and supporting the agency with strategic new acquisitions.

John Shepherd, which was founded in 1991, is based in Birmingham, Cannock, Redditch, Shirley, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield.

Richard Crathorne said: “John Shepherd’s team of 70 staff is brimming with local knowledge and market insight, and we are proud of our commitment to promote home-grown local talent when opportunities arise.

“Katie’s proven expertise in sales – she previously spearheaded our Collection portfolio of prestigious properties as well as our land and new homes specialism – will be a great asset in the next stage of our expansion.

“This new Board-level appointment is another clear signal of our ambitious plans to grow our business across several new locations, while focusing on delivering a great customer service to ensure we achieve the very best sales and lettings business across the Midlands.”

Katie said: “Thanks to its great team, John Shepherd has broken new ground in a number of innovative ways ever since I joined the company five years ago. I look forward to building on this in my new role, and helping more and more people move home throughout some of the UK’s most sought-after places to live.”
