DOLLY Parton’s country classics will fill the air of the Core Theatre next month as the musical ‘9 to 5’ takes to the stage.
St Augustine’s Musical Theatre Company has been hard at work in rehearsals for the show, based on the 1980 film of the same name starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton.
The musical promises to transport audiences back to a 1970s office and tells the story of three women’s struggles working under their sexist, egosticial boss – Franklin Hart.
With toe-tapping musical numbers penned by the ‘queen of country’ herself and dance routines aplenty, 9 to 5 promises something for all to enjoy.
The show runs each night at the Core Theatre in Solihull from Tuesday, November 15 until Saturday, November 19 at 7.30 pm with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30 pm.
