Drivers face delays while Hatton gas leak repaired

Solihull Editorial 14th May, 2019   0

A GAS leak is causing a delay for drivers in Hatton.

Motorists using the A4177 Birmingham Road in the village are being advised to leave extra time for their journeys or take another route while engineers repair the leak on a gas pipe in the road.

Temporary traffic lights have been set up near the Waterman pub and engineers from gas network Cadent are working to pinpoint the exact location of the leak and fix it.

It is not known yet exactly how long the repairs will take but it is expected the traffic lights will be in place during this evening’s rush hour.

A Cadent spokeswoman said: “We would like to thank people for their patience. Every effort is being made to complete this work as soon as possible.”
