A MAN has been charged for possession of a knife following a search in Chelmsley Wood at the weekend.
Officers from our Guardian taskforce were conducting patrols in the area last Saturday (June 20) when they spotted a suspicious vehicle on Swift Close shortly after 8.30pm.
Following a search, officers discovered a knife and arrested a man at the scene.
Connor Byrne from Westcott Road, Birmingham has now been charged with possession of a knife and driving without insurance.
The 21-year-old is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrate’s Court next month.
