CELEBRATIONS were in order as The Vintage Sports-Car Club marked its 90th anniversary.
Members, friends, volunteer librarians and club staff met at the club’s head office in Hockley Heath to commemorate 90 years since the first committee morning.
Visitors were able to explore the Club library and archives where we displayed a number of items.
The club said: “As we celebrate ninety years since the formation of the Vintage Sports-Car Club, it is both humbling and inspiring to reflect on how far we have come
since that very first Committee meeting in October 1934.
“From humble beginnings, when a few passionate enthusiasts gathered to form what would become the cornerstone of vintage motoring, the Club has evolved into a thriving community that not only honours the heritage of motoring but is also shaping its future.”
Over the years the club has welcomed members including John Surtees – the only man to win World Championships on two and four wheels.
