A YOUNG budding footballer has been treated to a coaching day to remember after meeting her sporting heroes, thanks to Birmingham City Ladies’ main shirt sponsors, Eze Group.
Isobel Roper, from Halesowen, was invited to watch her favourite team train at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre in Solihull before receiving an exclusive coaching session following a nomination from her mum, Holly, as part of Eze Group’s Eze Wishes initiative.
The seven-year-old, who recently joined Rowley Widlcats, was nominated for her keen interest and talent shown in football from a young age.
Isobel also received a signed ball, enjoyed a question and answer session with the players and was given tickets for her Rowley Wildcats team to watch Blues beat Liverpool in their final home game of the season on September 25).
Isobel said: “I had an amazing day, and meeting all the players was a dream come true. The signed football was such a surprise, and I’ll treasure it forever!”
The Eze Wishes campaign is an Eze Group and BCLFC initiative designed to recognise and reward those Blues Ladies fans who have overcome adversity, shown tremendous community spirit or demonstrated outstanding support for the club and sport.
Eze Group CEO, Dominic O’Reilly, added: “We’re keen to reach out to those who show a real passion and commitment to sport, which is why we simply couldn’t refuse Holly’s nomination.
“We hope Isobel carries on her love for football for many years to come, and took home some great memories from her day with the Blues Ladies.”
