SOLIHULL Blossomfield extended their lead at the top of Warwickshire Division Two to 36 points after a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Pickwick.
Hosts Pickwick won the toss and opted to bat first and some tight bowling from the visitors meant that the score stood at only 43 for 4 at the half-way point in the innings.
Nathan Myers and Naveed Bashir picked up two wickets a piece and despite some resistance from G Shah (69) Bloss were able to keep the score to 166 for 7 from 49 overs.
A brief shower meant that Bloss would only have 43 overs to reach their victory target and some accurate bowling from the openers had the visitors reeling at 40 for 2.
However composed knocks from Richard Weaver (60 not out) and Nick Patel (50 not out) saw their team home with ten overs and seven wickets remaining, meaning that they remain unbeaten in their ten matches this term.
Next up from Bloss is a visit to promotion rivals Moseley Ashfield on Saturday.
