SOLIHULL Blossomfield extended their lead at the top of Warwickshire League Division Two to 33 points thanks to a 20-point victory away at Dunlop Stars.

The visitors won the toss and after electing to field first, Dunlop made a steady start which saw them heading to score of 250 plus.

Captain Richard Weaver bought himself on for a rare bowl and it was a move that paid off as he (4 for 30) along with Harvey Satterthwaite (3 for 38) bowled Dunlop all out for 191.

The Blossomfield reply started well as openers Nick Patel (32) and Naveed Bashir (38) set a solid platform.

However, a flurry of wickets briefly saw the game hanging in the balance once more until Jack Seifas (21) and Edward Thompson (75 not out ) got together at the crease.

Their partnership of 80 put the game beyond doubt and made sure their side topped the table for the 18th consecutive week.

It is a double header this weekend as Blossomfield entertain Pickwick on Saturday before a Bank Holiday Monday visit to Leamington Khalsa.
