OLD Yardleians’ veterans side known as the Vandals sealed their third merit league title in a row after finishing top of the Worcester & Hereford Merit League Two.
Under the leadership of skipper Sean Byrne, the Vandals had previously won the Merit Three title and the Greater Birmingham league before that all at the first attempt.
And the made it a hat-trick of title wins following a very competitive league campaign that included teams from as far as Ross-on-Wye.
The Vandals, essentially the elderly gentlemen of the club, pipped the Malvern Development side by a single point to clinch their third league win just six years after being formed.
