Solihull Editorial 12th Jan, 2017   0

TENNIS: ELEVEN-year-old Cameron Holland has been selected for national development in tennis following six years of dedicated practice and competitions.

Playing tennis from the age of just five, the Solihull School student, who plays for Edgbaston Priory and Solihull School, is one of 16 children from across the Midlands to be selected for national coaching from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).

Training for three hours every Friday evening, in addition to his practice with Edgbaston Priory, Cameron will join the Under 13 national squad.

No stranger to hard work when it comes to Tennis, Cameron has already attended regional training camps in Loughborough every evening for the past two years, beginning in the Under 9 group and progressing to Under 11.

Cameron said: “I’m really pleased to have been one of the players chosen by the LTA. I love playing tennis and I’m looking forward to improving with coaching from the national development team.”
