STRIKER FRED Ayisis has signed for Birmingham City Ladies from fellow Women’s super League side Arsenal.

The 20-year-old progressed through the ranks at the North London club but has opted for a move to the West Midlands.

In 2013, Ayisi made her debut in The FA WSL and scored her first goal in the club’s Champions League campaign in their 7-1 win over Russian side CSHVSM Kairat.

“We’re delighted to bring Freda to the football club and add another exciting signing to the group for this season.” said Blues Ladies boss David Parker.

“Freda brings quality to Birmingham, being a young and hungry English player with an enormous amount of potential. She will bring a different dimension to the group this year and add further pace, power and work ethic to an already young and talented front line.

“Her performances last season more than indicated she is now ready to push on and be a thorn for any opposition in this league with the qualities she brings, and we can’t wait to start working with her to help fulfil that potential.”
