SOLIHULL & Shirley Badminton Club began the new year with a victory in the mixed second division of the Birmingham League.
The mixed second team were able to gain their revenge after last year’s loss against SGN and this time around they finished at 5-4 winners.
Elsewhere, in the Solihull League, the m first team remain top of the first division thanks to a comfortable 5-1 victory over Badminton Bears.
The men’s second team were also in action but they found themselves on the wrong end of 6-0 scoreline against Activ Sports in the second division.
The junior Saints team had a hard fought battle against UBMS in the first division and they were unlucky to finish as 4-2 losers.
