CRAIG Bissett struck the winning boundary as SOLIHULL MUNICIPAL left it late to beat Kings Heath.

After electing to field first when Kevin Bissett won the toss, the hosts batting was reduced to 62 for 6 as Alex Roslyn claimed 4 for 27 and James Roslyn 2 for 26 off their 12 over stints. John Baker (32) and Chris Monk (14) survived long enough to share a stand of 33 before Monk was caught by Alex Roslyn off Laura Crofts who claimed her maiden wicket for the club and finished with 1 for 29 from eight overs.

Chris Hunt made 18 and helped Baker raise the score to 129 before Jon Stanley picked up 2 for 13 to dismiss Kings Heath for 140.

The Municipal reply revolved around a 90 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket between Jon Stanley 65 and Alex Roslyn 33 after Saeed Rashid had reduced the score to 29/2. With just 3 runs needed for victory Usman Khan grabbed two wickets before Craig Bissett struck the winning boundary.

The second team were also in action at home to Standard and openers Mark Gray (21) and Amjad Aziz (18) posted 47 before the former was caught by wicket-keeper Will Hawker off Stuart Hormantschuk.

Richard Stuart trapped Aziz lbw without addition to the score which paved the way for Bashar Afzal to run through the middle order en-route to a five wickets haul before Jamie Tiff helped himself to the final three wickets in one over as the innings collapsed from 112 for 7 to 115 all out.

In reply Jay Afzal 36 and Hormantschuk 74* shared a stand of 108 before Afzal sliced the off-spin of David Acton to backward point where Michael Edwards took the catch. Hormantschuk brought up the win in the next over with a six into Hillfield Park.
