SOLIHULL Moors’ ARMCO Arena home ground will host the FA Women’s National League Plate Final and Reserve Plate Final in March of next year.

Both finals will take place on Sunday, March 26 2023 at the Armco Arena.

And Solihull are set to host the seventh final of The FA WNL Plate after it was introduced in the 2014/15 season. No team has ever won the competition more than once.

Richard Blackmore, Operations Director at Solihull Moors FC, said: “We’re delighted to host The FA WNL Plate and Reserve Plate Finals.

“With interest in the women’s game ever-growing, the spotlight will be very much on the finalist teams, and we hope playing at the ARMCO Arena will provide the ideal environment to bring out their best.”

Carol West, Chair of The FA Women’s National League, added: “The ARMCO Arena is a fantastic venue for our Plate Finals.

“The club offers a great platform for players to play their best football and feel at the centre of a very special day.”

The FA WNL consists of tiers three and four of the women’s football pyramid, with all 72 members of the WNL competing in either The FA WNL Plate or The FA WNL Cup across the season.

An initial determining round takes place at the start of the season before the competitions start.

The winning sides of the determining round are then drawn into the Cup while the losing sides are entered into the Plate.

Neither competition has a defending champion this season, with Nottingham Forest, winners of the 2021/22 FA WNL Plate, competing in the Cup competition instead this year, and Southampton, winners of the 2021/22 WNL Cup, going onto also secure promotion to the Barclays Women’s Championship.

Moors join two other clubs in hosting finals of FA WNL competitions this season, with Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium set to host the final of The FA WNL Cup, and MK Dons’ Stadium MK set to host The FA WNL Championship Play-Off Final, where promotion to the Barclays Women’s Championship will be on the line.
