BIRMINGHAM and Solihull Hornets took on Harbury 2nds in a friendly match at Portway which ended in a 40-26 victory for the visitors.
Harbury attacked straight from the kick-off and scored the game’s first try on 11 minutes before quickly running in three further converted tries.
The Hornets made a couple of substitutions which sparked the home side into life as Harry Garrett dotted down and head coach George Littlechild converted.
And the try proved the final action of the half with the Hornets trailing by 21 points at the interval.
Harbury camped on the Hornets 22 at the start of the second period only for Solihull to escape as Cameron May touched down and Littlechild added the extras.

The Hornets responded from the restart as Will Heath showed excellent speed to score Solihull’s third try, again converted by Littlechild.
