BIRMINGHAM and Solihull Bees ran in 11 tries en route to a dominant 69-7 win against bottom of the table Uttoxeter.

The Bees secured a third successive victory in the league as Cole Elleman crossed twice while PJ Hatch, Ollie Nesbit, Ryan Sleaford, Liam Dunne, Adam Trombley, Cormach Papimik, Lewis Edwards, Tom Jones and Harry Garrett all touched down at Portway.

And the result means Solihull sit fifth in the Counties 2 Midlands West (East) table.

The home side scored the game’s first try after just three minutes as Edwards set the backs in motion before Hatch dotted down.

And further first-half tries from Nesbit, Sleaford, Elleman and Dunne, along with two conversions, settled the game before the break.

Struggling Uttoxeter also lost three of their key players to injury in the opening 12 minutes on an afternoon to forget for the Staffordshire club.

Bees picked up where they left off after the interval as Trombley, Elleman, Papimik, Edwards, Jones and Garrett all crossed for tries with Edwards converting five of the scores.

Uttoxeter never gave up and scored a consolation try to deny the Bees a shutout as Solihull secured a fifth win from their last six league matches.

Birmingham and Solihull Bees are next in action away at Southam on Saturday, December 2 with kick-off at 2.15pm at Kineton Road.
