A DISAPPOINTING start to the 2015/16 season has seen Earlswood Town part company with manager Nigel Fry and his replacement has been confirmed as Keith Green.

Earlswood are rooted to the bottom of the Midland League Division Two table having picked up just one point from 13 matches.

Their only league point came from a 1-1 draw away at  Austrey Rangers at the beginning of October and the club’s committee have decided that a change at the top was needed to transform the club’s fortunes.

“After a long run of unsuccessful results, which have culminated in the first team occupying bottom spot in the Midland League division 2, without a league win to date, the committee decided that it was time for a change,” confirmed a statement from the club.

“The committee would like to thank Nigel for all his work and commitment put over the past couple of seasons and wish him well.  Keith Green will take over the reins as manager of the first team.”

Along with Green, Earlswood have also parted company with general secretary Clive Faulkner who will be joining  Midland Premier Division outfit Boldmere St. Michaels.

The statement continued: “Earlswood would like to convey there grateful thanks to him for all the effort and hard work he has afforded the club over the past eight years, and wish him all the best in his new venture at Boldmere.”
