THE netball team at Solihull Sixth Form College is celebrating after winning the AoC Sport Netball West Midlands Tier 2 League A title.
The first team secured a second successive title after winning eight of their 10 matches.
Captain Lily Holtham guided Solihull to glory as the team amassed more than 360 points en route to the title.
A highlight of the team’s season saw the club record a 46-31 victory against second-placed Newcastle Stafford College.
Sport and health teacher and netball coach, Sandra Rowland said: “I’m proud of the girls for their dedication this season.
“Winning the title two years running requires consistency and hard work.
“We have some gifted players, including some who have been part of the team in both seasons, but the most impressive thing is the teamwork and leadership they have shown.
“They deserve their success.”
Sport and health curriculum leader, Lee Jones added: “I’m delighted to hear that the Netball first team have retained their league title.
“They have worked as a team all season long and been rewarded for their efforts.
“Congratulations to all involved.”
