SKATING: TALENTED young skaters Charlotte Gilmartin and Farrell Treacey were among those featuring on the top step of the podium at the British Shorttrack Championships in Nottingham.
Gilmartin, a member of the current Team GB squad and former Olympian, finished 1st in the Senior Ladies competition – beating Kathryn Thomson to the line.
Meanwhile 18-year-old Farrell Treacey bagged gold in the senior mens classification.
Treacey, also a Team GB member, has already featured in the World Junior Championships this year, and his impressive season continued with another podium finish.
Both Gilmartin and Treacey are part of Solihull’s Mohawks Ice Racing Club.
Club members receive regular coaching from ex-Olympian Tom Iveson at Solihull Ice Rink.
